This was a passion project I created for my dad. Since he was a kid, his family has held an annual golf tournament in AuGres, Michigan at Singing Bridge Golf Course. As a fun design exercise, I decided to create a logo for the event. He ended up loving it, so we turned it into something real by having it embroidered on polo shirts and sweatshirts.

For the design, I wanted to capture a traditional, classic golf tournament feel. The letter “B” serves as the foundation, incorporating key elements of the game like the flagstick and golf ball to keep it simple but recognizable.

I chose a green and blue color palette with intentional meaning behind it. The green represents the golf course itself, along with a subtle nod to Michigan State, since my dad’s family is from East Lansing and are lifelong Spartan fans. The blue reflects the waters of Lake Huron, where the tournament has taken place every year.
